PRESS ASSOCIATION - Police investigating the murders of three men who were hit by a car while protecting shops and homes from looters have charged a 29-year-old man with murder.
Haroon Jahan, 21, and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, died in the early hours of August 10 during riots in the Winson Green area of Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said the 29-year-man, who was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, was charged with murder and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
A second man, also 29, who was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the deaths was bailed pending further inquiries, said police.
Liam Young, 28, Ian Beckford, 30, Joshua Donald, 26, Adam King, 23, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named have already been charged with murder and have been remanded in custody.
Four other males - aged 17, 23, 32 and 33 - have also been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.
Eleven men have so far been arrested by police investigating the killings.
Thousands of mourners turned out for the funerals of the three men earlier this month.
At an open-air prayer service attended by more than 20,000 people, the three victims were hailed as martyrs.
Scholar Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, who spoke at the ceremony, said: "They made an example of how a Muslim should be and what Islam is. These three people are martyrs and the best we can do for them is to pray for them and for ourselves - to pray for our community."
