Sony 3D headset: 750 inch screen in your living room

Sony are set to to release a 3D headset that will deliver a 750 inch screen to your living room. The brand promise a high definition movie theatre-like experience using a 0.7 inch high definition OLED panel (1280 x 720) approximately 20 metres from your eye. The product will be available on November 11.

But how can it be so you ask? The device adopts the ‘Dual Panel 3D Method’ which consists of separate panels for the left and right eye in order to display independent HD picture quality to each eye, which realize 3D vision. The headphones are said to deliver superb surround sound, equivalent to a maximum of 5.1ch.

The key to the clarity of vision is the OLED panel which illuminates as soon as electrical current is passed through it, giving it a response time of less than 0.01milliseconds for video. It's ideal for gamers, as it promises to deliver smooth, natural video for fast-moving activities without any blurry afterimages.
