Sky Newspaper Review Omits 'graphic' Daily Mirror

Sky News made a brave/unusual decision last night on its nightly newspaper review - it refused to show one of the front pages because it was "too graphic".

The Daily Mirror's coverage of the death of fallen Libyan dictator Colonel Gaddafi was "banned" from being shown and simply ignored, while other newspapers, which showed images that were, arguably, equally as disturbing.

But the Daily Mirror's picture editing was congratulated by The Guardian's Jonathan Haynes who tweeted: "I think the wider crop of that photo with all the people taking pics is excellent - good choice by the Mirror"

A Sky News spokesman said today: "A decision was taken by last night’s producer to not show the front page of the Daily Mirror simply because it was believed to be too graphic."
