A nurse who was accused of having sex romps with a 15-year-old school boy on a deserted beach has been cleared of all allegations.
Victoria Horsley, 36, was told by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) the boy's story was riddled with contradictions and "inconsistencies", and could not be believed. The district nurse from Anglesey, north Wales, was sacked from her job following the allegations.
Horsley was found to have maintained contact with the boy - referred to as "Child A", and his sibling, who also gave a statement of evidence, despite being told not to by her employers.
The nurse was employed by North Wales NHS Trust when her relationship with the two teenage boys was called into question.
No action was taken by police when they investigated the accusations of Horsley having sex with Child A between 2005 and 2008.
NMC panel chair Cheryl Beach said the claims had elements of "exaggeration" and the teenager had frequently changed his story after being "pressurised" by his parents.
Horsley told the hearing the alleged sex romps "never happened". "There's no truth it in at all. The boy's family are nasty people. He made up the allegations to make trouble for me."
But the mother-of-two could now be struck off after the NMC hearing in Cardiff ruled she did allow Child A and his brother to drive her NHS car.
James Townsend, acting for Horsley, said his client had acted out of character due to "unique circumstances". Horsley told the panel she was pestered and intimidated by the two of the teenagers into letting them use her car.
The hearing continues.
