Grand Theft Auto 5 Trailer Released: GTA Returns To San Andreas

Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5, the follow-up to one of the biggest-selling games in history.

Set in San Andreas, GTA's parodic take on Los Angeles, the game looks set to be as violent and chaotic as ever.

The trailer is resplendent with car chases, guns and major crimes - as well as some rather fun looking jet skies, golf courses and mountain hikes.

In contrast to previous instalments, most of which feature a bad-guy going good, this game sees the (as yet unnamed) protagonist leading a straight life but being pulled back down into criminality. Nice twist, but we suspect it won't matter to most players.

What will matter are the gorgeous graphics, GTA's patented open-world gameplay and its unique sense of humour that tempers (somewhat) the otherwise unrelenting violence of it all.

Check out the video, above, and stay tuned to Rockstar (and HuffPost UK) for the latest on the game as it moves closer to release - which unfortunately won't be before the end of the year.
