Students Celebrating Thanksgiving With Caprice And A Meal For The Homeless

Caprice Helps Students Dish Up A Feast For The Homeless To Celebrate Thanksgiving

Supermodel Caprice joined in the Thanksgiving festivities to help students serve out a dinner to more than 60 homeless women in London.

The model rolled up her sleeves and pitched in with the students, from American InterContinental University (AIU), to celebrate their US heritage. The team served up a traditional meal of roast turkey, sweet potatoes and stuffing to the homeless women from the Marylebone Project.

Based on Cosway Street, Marylebone, the project works with vulnerable homeless women to help empower them towards independent living.

The 39-year-old model, who is better known for strutting her stuff on the catwalk in lingerie than donning an apron, said she was "really glad" to help out.

“It makes the women so happy and is always such a great day out for them. It’s the only time I’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving this year and I’ve been really looking forward to it”, she said.

Dr. Randolf Cooper, vice president of academic affairs at AIU London, said: "Today Americans celebrate Thanksgiving without a religious connotation; the emphasis is on abundance and family.

"We are happy to share that spirit with the community and delighted that our students can be involved in supporting a local charity such as the Marylebone Project.”
