Who Will Be King Of The Jungle - Can Dougie Poynter Take On TOWIE's Mark?

Mark Wright and Dougie Poynter will compete to be crowned king of the jungle after the pair reached the final of ITV1 reality contest I'm A Celebrity.

Former athlete Fatima Whitbread took the bronze medal, but failed to gain a place in Saturday night's showdown.

Soap star Antony Cotton was also booted out on what was the show's penultimate day.

Bookmakers William Hill installed Wright as the 2/5 odds-on favourite to claim victory, with Poynter the 15/8 outsider.

Whitbread admitted it "would have been nice to go through the finish line first", but said she was up against some "very tough contenders".

The Olympic javelin silver medallist said she did not regret bringing her competitive spirit into the jungle, which caused some friction with the other contestants, especially Cotton.

"It's the only way I know, the best way to move forward. It worked for me and I'm hopeful in some situations it's helped others," she said.

Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in Coronation Street, revealed he was "gutted" after being voted out. The 36-year-old hugged the other contestants when he was told his bid to reach the final had failed by a single day.

He said: "I'm absolutely gutted. I've come this far. I'd never thought about the final from the get-go until last night." He added: "I'm gutted but I did what I could do. I'm amazed that I lasted that long."

Talking about his time on the show, Wright said: "I've missed my family and got homesick but I know how proud they are of me. I miss them so much but this experience has 110% made me a better person. It makes me emotional thinking about it because it has been the most wonderful experience."
