Kate Middleton And Prince William, Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge, To Visit Young Homeless People

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will join in a cookery class with former homeless youngsters this evening as they visit a Centrepoint unit.

William and Kate will also watch as young people being helped by the charity take part in a range of activities at the centre in Camberwell, south London.

The Duke has been the patron of Centrepoint, a charity that supports homeless young people in the UK, since 2005.

During the visit the royals will watch a group session of the charity's Workwise programme, get involved with a cookery session teaching healthy living, and watch a performance by the winner of Centrepoint's Got Talent.

As children William and his brother Prince Harry made private visits to Centrepoint services with the Princess of Wales.

Diana was a long-standing and active supporter of the charity and became its patron in 1992.

The second-in-line to the throne spent a night on the streets of London sleeping rough to highlight the issue a few days before Christmas Day in 2009.
