UK Riots: Metropolitan Police Release Images Of 66 People Convicted Since August

More than 60 people convicted for committing offences during the London riots have had their details and photos released by police.

Scotland Yard published the pictures on Flickr, and issued the offenders' names, ages, addresses and the offences with which they have been convicted.

The 66 convicted individuals were jailed for a combined total of more than 95 years.

They include the longest sentence yet issued for an offence related to the London riots: Ryan Kichenside, who is 18, was filmed pulling a man from a scooter and was sentenced yesterday to five years and 10 months for violent disorder, robbery and two counts of burglary.

The other offences detailed in the release range from violent disorder, robbery, burglary and handling stolen goods.

"The images are being published on the MPS's Flickr page in support of ongoing efforts by Operation Withern officers to identify, arrest and prosecute those involved in the events seen across London in August," the police said.

Detective Superintendent Robin Bhairam added: "My thanks goes out to all of those members of the public who have come forward and named those involved in these sickening acts of violence.

"I very much hope that this invaluable support continues so that we can carry on bringing to justice those individuals who took it upon themselves to terrorise and intimidate the people of London.

"This investigation will continue - it is a marathon not a sprint. The sentences that have been handed down by the courts reflect the seriousness of the crimes that have been committed."
