Jamie Love, Boy Sent Home From School For Dressing As A Girl, Wins Fight To Return To Class

Teen Sent Home For School For Dressing Like A Girl 'Can Return To Class'

A teenage boy who claimed he was sent home from school after turning up to lessons dressed as a girl has won his fight to return to classes.

Jamie Love arrived at school wearing denim hotpants, hair extensions and make-up, prompting staff to ask him to leave.

The Scottish teenager told the local paper he was "delighted" to return to school.

"I thought there was no way back and the school had turned their back on me but I can get on with my life now.

"It is a major victory for me and all the other kids who are confused about their sexuality."

A spokesman for Glasgow City Council insisted Love, who hopes to become a hairdresser, was not excluded for his choice of clothing.

"He can come to school dressed as a girl if he wants to.

"However, it's important that we put measures in place to accomodate this decision."
