Phone Hacking: Met PR Chief Dick Fedorcio To Find Out If He Faces Punishment

Phone Hacking: IPCC Delivers Fedorcio Misconduct Report, Decision Due

Scotland Yard's media chief will find out within days whether he faces punishment over his connections with a phone-hacking suspect.

The police watchdog has completed its inquiry into allegations of gross misconduct against Dick Fedorcio, head of public affairs.

Investigations focused on Fedorcio's links to former News of the World executive Neil Wallis, who won a PR contract with the force before his arrest.

Scotland Yard confirmed it had received the Independent Police Complaints Commission's report into the decision to employ Wallis, of Chamy Media, as a specialist adviser.

"We are currently considering the report's findings and will respond to the IPCC in due course," a spokesman said.

Fedorcio has been on extended leave since August last year. Wallis is currently on bail pending further investigations.
