2011 is the year of the Ulltrabook, so expect plenty of these slim PC laptops to choose from.

The Acer Aspire S3 is not as slim as some, and come with just two hours' battery life, but it's still an impressive choice for people on the move.

This new Ultrabook weighs in at 1.38 kilograms, so around the weight of two iPads, and is 19mm at its thickest point.

It has a decent size touchpad, and nothing surprising about the keyboard, but it's what's behind the scenes that makes this Ultrabook stand out.

The Acer Aspire S3 is powered by a dualcore i7 ULV processor and with 4GB of memory, adequately handles multiple programs at once - an absolute must for the short attention span generat ... wait, what was I saying?

Ah yes. Behind the scenes. The graphic card in this Acer runs video and photo editing software easily, though forget serious gaming on this one, it's too light on to handle that.
