Kym Marsh's Dad On The Mend Following Heart Scare

Kym Marsh has thanked fans for their support after her dad suffered a heart attack scare.

Dave Marsh has previously had a heart attack and Coronation Street actress Kym rushed to hospital to be by her dad's side after he collapsed at his home recently.

However, despite going through the harrowing experience, it seems dad Dave is on the mend after he flirted with the nurses in hospital.

In her New magazine column, Kym wrote: "Fingers crossed he'll be feeling much better soon. No-one likes being in hospital but that doesn't stop my dad befriending the nurses!

"He has a knack of making people fall in love with him. His positive outlook is amazing - he never lets anything get him down."

Following the incident, Kym, 35, tweeted: "Thank you for all your lovely tweets about my dad. He is still poorly but home for now."

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Kym's mum Pauline said: "It's been a very worrying time. He is still having tests done to find out what's wrong. He had a heart attack years ago. I was so worried for him, it's been awful."

On Kym's worries following the scare, a friend added: "She is a tough Wigan lass and can cope with most things but there is no doubt the last few days have been hard for her. She loves her mum and dads to bits and all she wants is for Dave to get better."

However, the mum of three has reassured her fans that she is now fine, tweeting: "I'm absolutely fantastic guys thank you for asking. Only gonna get better from here!"
