'Blade Runner' Sequel: Harrison Ford Set To Star?

Picking Up The Blade Again?

Harrison Ford could be set to reprise his Blade Runner role.

The actor played the lead character of Rick Deckard in the 1982 sci-fi film and now Twitch reports that he is in early talks about possibly joining the sequel.

It was already known that Blade Runner director Ridley Scott would be at the helm of the follow-up, but Ford, who is now 70, was not expected to be part of the movie.

Last year Alcon Entertainment's Andrew Kosove suggested that the film would be a complete reboot, with a new story and a new cast.

"In no way do I speak for Ridley Scott but if you're asking me will this movie have anything to do with Harrison Ford, the answer is no. This is a total reinvention and in my mind that means doing everything fresh, including casting," he told The LA Times.

However, following the news that Ford is showing an interest, there is speculation that the movie might actually be a direct prequel or sequel to the cult film.
