Simon Cowell is so determined to look the best on the Britain's Got Talent panel, he's demanded special lighting under his desk to give him a "healthy glow".
The music mogul is back on the judges' desk after a year off from the show - and he looks set to hog the spotlight from his co-stars Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden, who's returning to the series at the weekend after giving birth last month.
The Sun reports he's had strip lighting installed underneath his desk to make sure he looks the best on camera.
An insider tells the publication: "It's hilarious. The lights are only on his part of the desk - it's an obvious attempt to get one up on the other judges.
"No matter where he turns there is more light on him than the others - which makes him look better on camera.
"It appears he has a healthy glow - but it's subtle trickery."
And Simon is always tended to by his own personal make-up girl, Julia.
The source adds, "Simon has the most gorgeous make-up artist who works only on him. Julia darts out in between every act and works her magic on his touch-ups.
"The other judges don't get this kind of attention and it's all part of making sure Simon is the undisputed star of the show."
The newspaper also claims that Simon flirted up a storm with guest judge Carmen Electra when she sat in for Amanda at the London auditions this week.
They apparently held hands, stroked each other's arms and backs and were even whispering private jokes!
The insider says: "Everyone was stunned when Carmen turned up. But it's become increasingly obvious why Simon booked Carmen. As Tuesday's auditions wore on, they were inseparable.
"It was embarrassing the way they were all over each other. They were play-hitting each other like awkward teenagers."
