Derek Chisora Released Without Charge After Post Boxing-Match Punch-Up

British boxer Dereck Chisora has been freed without charge by Munich police following a bloody brawl with rival UK fighter David Haye.

Haye's whereabouts remain unknown and he is still wanted for questioning.

Chisora last night lost to Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko on a points decision in a heavyweight title fight, and the fracas happened at the post-bout press conference.

A spokesman for Munich police said Chisora was free to return to England after being detained in the German city to answer questions about the altercation.

Haye was not at his hotel this morning and did not turn up for his scheduled flight, the spokesman added.

Haye and Chisora started mouthing off at each other after Klitschko's camp started talking about who might be given the next chance of challenging for the title.

After losing a brave 12-round decision to WBC champion Klitschko in Munich, Chisora mocked the onlooking Haye for his poor performance against Klitschko's brother Wladimir last year and tried to goad his rival into a future bout.

After a short exchange Chisora decided to confront Haye by leaving the stage walking down through journalists to where he was standing.

Haye is then captured trading punches with Chisora's trainer Don Charles before swinging a large camera tripod over his head at Charles. Moments later Chisora re-appears brandishing a glass bottle but is wrestled under control.

Chisora claimed he was "glassed" by Haye.

A Munich Criminal Police spokesman later told Press Association Sport that both men would be questioned at their hotel before they are due to fly out from Munich, but there had been no arrests.

Haye's manager Adam Booth somehow suffered a nasty cut on his forehead and also claimed to have been "glassed".
