As the celebrities pad down the red carpet for the Oscars, these 'famous' faces from the Imax Eliat wax museum might seem less familiar.
Although the museum boasts that statues of Elton John, John Lennon and Madonna can be seen among its ahem 'unusual' waxworks, visitors to the museum in Eliat, Israel, might be left flummoxed.
A greasy looking 'Marilyn Monroe' statue certainly challenges the icon's 'sexiest woman in the world' title, while Madonna might suggest that the likeness between her and her wax doppelgänger was at best 'borderline'.
Visitors are also treated to a vision of Elvis Presley...if the king of rock and roll had had a penchant for wearing lipstick. A distinctly Thunderbirds-esque Barack Obama also looms out from the waxwork display.
Although the Louis Tussauds wax museum in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, previously held the dubious title of most unutterably awful waxworks in the world, it's possible a new rival has emerged.
