Roger Johnson's Wife Told By Wolves Boss Not To Interfere - Here Are Some Other Pushy Female Spouses

Wolves' interim boss Terry Connor was unimpressed at club captain Roger Johnson's wife tweeting her displeasure at her husband's recent demotion.

"I don't tweet and she doesn't pick the team - so whatever," said Connor sternly.

Melissa Johnson, an unashamed and self-proclaimed WAG who featured in "WAGS workout", aired her frustration prior to Sunday's 5-0 defeat at home to Manchester United.

Mrs Johnson tweets:

Johnson has not started a game under Connor and last played in the sacked Mick McCarthy's final game - the 5-1 Black Country derby defeat to West Brom.

He allegedly turned up for training intoxicated the day after a 5-0 defeat at Fulham earlier this month, and was punished for breach of club discipline.

Mrs Johnson isn't the only female to come under-fire for interfering with club matters however.

The wife of Bournemouth's Russian co-owner Maxim Demin gave part of the half-time team talk during their 1-0 home defeat to MK Dons last month.

Eddie Mitchell defends Maxim Demin (WARNING: includes foul language):

Chairman Eddie Mitchell claimed the Demin family, who bought 50 per cent of the club in November, had a right to intervene.

He admitted Mrs Demin is "not very football intelligent… she can't speak a lot of English, she just wished them well", and stressed it did not suggest a lack of confidence in manager Lee Bradbury.

Mitchell then directed a foul-mouthed tirade at Radio 5 live's football phone-in host Mark Chapman as he defended Mrs Demin's presence in the dressing room.

Stacey Giggs, meanwhile, broke Manchester United protocol by turning up to the club's Christmas party in Manchester last December.

The only WAG in attendance, an "insider" told The Daily Mail: "She told him he could — but only if she came too."

"Ryan agreed to it and they looked very happy together," the insider continued.

We'll leave you to draw your own inclusions as to why she was in attendance...
