The Prince of Wales will come face to face with the Prince of Denmark when he visits Hamlet's castle today.
He and the Duchess of Cornwall are to witness a Royal Shakespeare Company workshop of the Shakespeare play in the place where it is set - Kronborg Castle in Elsinore, Denmark.
They will also have a guided tour of Elsinore's old town and see medieval frescos inside a church.
Before travelling to Elsinore, Charles and Camilla will lay a wreath at Copenhagen's National Memorial and spend time meeting servicemen and women who have served in Afghanistan.
A state dinner is being hosted by Denmark's Queen Margrethe at the royal palace in the Danish capital in the evening.
The couple are nearing the end of their tour of Scandinavia that has already seen them undertaking engagements in Norway and Sweden.
