Michelle Obama Is Casual For White House Garden Spring Planting Event

Michelle Obama proved she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty (literally) as she joined children from all over America in the traditional planting of the White House kitchen garden on Monday (26 March).

Obvs the First Lady wasn't going to be wearing couture clothing to go digging around in the planting beds so she opted for a casual black and pink ensemble. Noteworthy? Perhaps not, but it's definitely a look we can actually copy without having to head off to Oxford Street!

Sidenote: The picture above makes it look like Michelle is being flummoxed by a potato, but with a few seconds of (incredibly skilful) Photoshopping, she is actually delivering a Shakespearean monologue:

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow of infinite jest. Photo: Rex
