Coronation Street chiefs are on the hunt for a new heartbreaker to star as Carla Connor's brother, according to reports.
The actor will play a mysterious bad boy who will arrive on the soap to help Carla, played by Alison King, run the knicker factory Underworld this summer, The Sun said.
A source told the newspaper: "We are seeing lots of different actors over the next week or so.
"We have got some exciting storylines lined up for Carla's brother. He is a character the fans have been keen to meet for some time."
Viewers will have heard Carla mention her brother but reveal few details about him, not even his name, on the soap.
Auditions of the candidates hoping to play Carla's brother, who will immediately chat-up Weatherfield's most glamorous women when he arrives on the cobbles, are currently taking place.
