A senior member of the Falklands' government has told HuffPost UK that she sees no end in sight to the impasse between the islands and the government of Argentina.
A trade embargo imposed by several South American countries at the behest of Argentina has triggered a war of words between Buenos Aires and Port Stanley, and the British government in London has been dragged into the row.
The impasse comes during the year of the 30th anniversary of the conflict, the ramifications of which still affect the islanders and have led to a continued British military presence there.
