Karl Lagerfeld Apologises To Adele With Handbags Over 'Fat' Comments

Karl Tries To Make Amends With Adele

Karl Lagerfeld had a lot of making up to do after he labeled Adele "a little too fat" in a magazine interview.

So he has attempted to make it up to the singer by showering her with handbags.

The fashion designer has been sending Adele a collection of expensive Chanel bags in the hope she'll forgive him.

A source told The Sun: "Karl has been filming for the new YouTube Chanel TV channel and mentioned his plans to patch things up. He told his team to send Adele the best the fashion house have to offer after hearing she collected bags.

"He said he really wanted to make it up to her so they could maybe work together in the future. He could see her fronting a campaign for Chanel Mademoiselle bags... He's annoyed with himself because he ended up insulting her when he meant to compliment her. He thinks she's beautiful and calls her divine."

Madonna also recently waded into the row to defend Adele, calling Karl's comments "ridiculous".

"I don't like it when anybody says anything bad about anyone - I don't like it. Adele's a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it."

Meanwhile, Adele has confirmed she's set to release new material before the end of the year.

"There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year," she told French radio station NRJ.

"I have to convince with my songs again and that’s where the pressure comes from."

However, we shouldn't expect a follow-up to multi-million selling 21 any time soon as she revealed the next album won’t be ready for "a good two years".
