The M1 has been closed near Milton Keynes after a man died in a crash involving three lorries early on Thursday morning.
The fatal smash happened around 3.30am between junctions 13 and 14 and the motorway is expected to remain closed for some hours yet, as emergency services attempt to clear the area around the collision.
There are long tailbacks in the area and ”traffic chaos” has been reported. Diversions have been set up via the A509, A4146 and A421 roads.

Bedfordshire police have urged motorists to avoid the area.
