Robin Gibb In Coma, While Brother Barry Sings To Him, And Family Keep Hospital Vigil

Barry Gibb Sings In Bid To Bring Brother Robin Out Of Coma

Robin Gibb's family and friends have been playing him music while he lies in a coma in a bid to bring him round.

The Bee Gees star's brother and bandmate Barry even sang to the former chart star when he visited him in hospital in London, according to Robin's wife, Dwina.

The 62-year-old has been in a coma since late last week after suffering pneumonia following intestinal surgery. He has suffered a number of health issues in recent months, including cancer of the colon.

In an interview with Enniskillen's The Impartial Reporter (www.impartialreporter.com), Dwina said the couple's children, RJ, Spencer and Melissa, had played music to their father to "try and bring him back to us".

She added: "His brother Barry, his wife Linda and son Stephen came over from America. Barry was singing to him. Thousands of people are saying prayers every day."

Last week, Robin, who has enjoyed decades of chart hits, was unable to attend the world premiere of his orchestral work The Titanic Requiem in London, at which he had hoped to perform.
