South Park Ditches Animation For Real-Life Actors In One-off Episode

South Park: No Longer Just A Cartoon

For the first time since its debut almost 15 years ago, South Park is ditching animation in favour of real-life human actors.

Tonight at 10pm on Comedy Central, join Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman - not forgetting our old friend the Christmas Poo - as you’ve never seen them before, re-enacting the classic episode I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining.

The episodes plot goes something like this: It’s the last day of Spring break and, determined to make it a day to remember, the boys decide to go ziplining. Of course, all does not go to plan and their trip takes a turn for the worst, leaving the quartet battling for survival in the Rocky Mountains.

The series, which first aired in 1997, is famous for its foul language and black humour and this reenactment proves no exception.

Just as a side note - Stan is actually quite handsome in real life. Is it wrong to find an ex-cartoon character attractive?
