Watch: Frans Hofmeester's Lotte Timelapse Video, Girl Grows From Zero To 12 In Two Minutes

Could there be a better use of the internet?

Frans Hofmeester, a Dutch father and filmmaker, has made an incredible timelapse video of his daughter Lotteageing from zero to 12 years old in just two minutes.

Hofmeester pulled together the footage of his youngster - shot every week for 12 years - into the film seen above.

He also tells the visual story of his son Vince ageing from zero to 9 in the video below.

Hofmeester says he filmed his son Vince every week, from birth up until he turned 9 years old, and Lotte until she was 12, then made the timelapse edit in Apple's Final Cut Pro, which you can download from the app store.

Vince and Lotte, who is now 12, smile, cry, squeal and yawn their way through the process, which is a remarkable feat of patience for father and child alike.

Anyone with a small child will attest to how difficult it is to get them to stay still for this long, let alone repeatedly, for over a decade.

Hofmeester has landed two great achievements with this project, spending much hankered-for time together with his kids, and generating perfect artefacts to share at their 21st birthday parties.

To shoot your own timelapse film, you will need one video camera, one willing participant and a Vimeo account to share it with the world.
