Prince William, Duchess Kate And A Baby, A Sign Of Things To Come?

A Sign Of Things To Come?

Pictures of Prince William and Kate Middleton looking broody with a baby surfaced after they met soldiers from the Scott-Amundsen walk in London on Thursday.

Alas, while the child with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may not be a future king or queen, there was something that just felt very right about seeing Prince William clutching a toddler in his arms.

Could this be a sign, though, that there may soon be a baby Windsor on the way?

The eventual child of Kate and William, currently the second in line to the throne of Her Majesty's Kingdom, will almost definitely be one of the most eagerly awaited in the history of celebrity babies.

Googling 'kate middleton pregnant' may well garner over 6.5 million results (and, thus, 6.5m hoaxes) but so far, no baby.

For the meantime, we'll have to make do with these pictures.

The three-week-old child is Hugo, the son of Vic Vicary, one of the soldiers who journeyed up to the North Pole, and his wife Hanna.

Vicary is with one of the Rifles regiments, and trekked to the North Pole on the route of the legendary Captain Scott.

Mr Vicary said of his son: "Two months after I came back from the South Pole we had a healthy baby boy.

"For the name, we came up with Hugo, Eric - for my father, who passed away - and Scott, after Captain Scott, because we were in his footsteps."

Vicary described William as a "natural" with children, adding: "Kate said the baby was 'very cute' and had doting eyes on him."
