Boxing Clever: Weekend TV Highlights - Homeland, Planet Earth Live, Maestro At The Opera,

The Graham Norton Show – BBC 1, 10.35pm

On Graham’s flourescent sofa this week: acting royalty Julie Walters, Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, Jessie J admits to not actually watching The Voice and Simon Amstell talks about new series Grandma’s House.

Maestro at the Opera – BBC2, 9pm

The 2008 series is back and four celebs - Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood, Radio 1’s Trevor Nelson, mathematician and brainbox Marcus du Sautoy and comedian Josie Lawrence - compete for the chance to conduct an orchestra.

Each contestant is assigned a mentor and gruelling training ensues. Every episode one is eliminated, with the winner - picked by the orchestra itself – going on to conduct one act of a performance at the Royal Opera House.

The Bridge – BBC 4, 9pm

Saturday’s double-bill of the Scandi-crime drama, concentrates on the third of the five social ills - mental illness, with our rogue 'truth terrorist' convincing a bunch of paranoid schizophrenics to carry out his terrible deeds.

Detectives Saga and Martin hope a runaway teenage girl could be the break the case needs, but more importantly, Saga has to socialise, accidentally of course, with her Danish colleague and his family - much to the pleasure of his enraptured son.

The Voice – BBC 1, 7.10pm

Following in the footsteps of Will and Tom, this week it’s Team Jessie and Team Danny’s turn to shed a team member. And this week's controversy - Will.iam's constant tweeting, something he's very proud to defend....

Planet Earth Live – BBC 1, 7:50pm

This new series is a winner. It has all the cinematic beauty and detail of Frozen Planet brought to you in real-time.

Julia Bradbury and Richard Hammond present, with Julia starting off with black bears in North America and Richard with lions in Kenya.
