Glee star Amber Riley has confirmed her departure from the hit musical-comedy.
Riley, who plays talented warbler Mercedes Jones, will bow out at the end of the season.
She tweeted to her almost 700k followers: "That's a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I've known day in and day out for three years.
"I'm going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday! I have so many brothers and sisters now :) But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! SCHOOL'S OUT Glee Kids! Let's play!"
The actress is the first of the main cast - who have been on the show for three series - to confirm their departure.
Riley is one of a number of characters, including Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray, due to graduate from the fictional McKinley High later this month.
However the show's creators hinted it did not necessarily mean the characters would leave the show.
At the weekend 26-year-old Riley collapsed while conducting interviews during a panel discussion during a special TV Academy event honouring the hit musical show.
Immediately following the scary moment Riley took to her Twitter account to inform fans of how photographers contributed to the mishap.
“Hey guys, I'm okay. I got a little dizzy from all the photog flashes,” she wrote.
It's thought Riley will now concentrate on her singing career, she's currently recording her first solo album. She hasn't set a release date yet, but told Entertainment Weekly the style of the album will be “very Motown and very jazzy and bluesy.”
