Britain's Got Talent Final: Winner Is Crowned... Ashleigh And Pudsey Beat Jonathan And Charlotte (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

Ashleigh and Pudsey have been crowned the triumphant winners of Britain's Got Talent 2012, making Simon Cowell a very happy man.

Bursting into tears as she was reminded of her £500,000 prize, Ashleigh cried: "I want to say a massive thank you to everyone that voted for us, I'm so proud of Pudsey."

And Simon Cowell gushed: "My life's work is now complete."

Ashleigh and Pudsey's act along to the theme of Mission Impossible was worth a watch just to see the smile on Simon's face as Pudsey ran across the judges' desk.

"I actually think Pudsey is training you," said Simon excitedly, obviously wanting to get his hands on the pooch.

The dancing duo did just enough to see off stiff competition from bookies' favourites singing duo Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli.

Taking the defeat graciously, Charlotte said: "It's been amazing."

Beaming Simon closed the reality contest, saying: "This has been my favourite year," before taking to the stage to dance with Ashleigh and Pudsey.

Meanwhile, Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud came third, despite Simon stating earlier that they were "the best of the night".
