They recently revealed they were in reunion talks but it seems some more concrete plans have now been made - Girls Aloud are back in the recording studio.
Last month Cheryl Cole claimed she was looking to grace the stage with her bandmates once again in time for the group's 10-year anniversary.
And now it has emerged that work has already begun on new material for an upcoming release.
Producers Xenomania spread the news on Saturday night via Twitter but swiftly removed the messages from their account.
In a series of posts, they wrote: "Prepping to go into the studio with @NadineCoyleNOW for new GA sessions... New GA sessions with @NicolaRoberts @KimberleyJWalsh @SarahNicHarding in the studio over the last week."
However, the removal of the messages may mean the over-eager producers put their foot in it by releasing the possibly secret news.
And while the girls may be happy to be back together, the cracks in their relationships still show - Nadine was singing in the studio alone.
Nadine tweeted: "Today in the studio again making magic with the original dream team Brian Higgins and Xenomania... Be prepared to be amazed!"
The US-based singer reportedly grew apart from her bandmates after moving Stateside with her family to open up an Irish bar in 2008.
Nadine's friendship with bandmate Cheryl Cole was still frayed recently - she didn't hear back from Cheryl when she wished her well when she fell ill with malaria just over a year ago.
At the time, she told The Mirror: "I texted her to make sure she was alright, but I think she must have been busy or whatever."
And here's a little reminder of the girls at the height of their powers...
