UK Weather: Sun Comes Out As Britain Basks In 27C Highs

Yes, This Really Is Scotland

Britons enjoyed another scorcher on Wednesday as temperatures climbed to 27C.

The warm weather was enjoyed by this couple walking their dogs in Largs, Scotland, which was hotter than Rome. The Italian capital managed only 21C.

According to the Met Office London temperatures soared to 26.9C at Heathrow - beating Tuesday's high of 23.8C in the Solent, which was the hottest registered this year so far.

The Met Office's Deputy Chief Forecaster Baden Hall said the sunshine should continue: "There will be variable amounts of cloud around so bright or sunny spells are most likely with any unbroken sunshine reserved for the coming weekend."
