Classic video game Doom is set to return with a remastered 'BFG Edition', ID Games has announced.
The classic title will be bundled with the original Doom and Doom 2, as well as Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil and extra levels.
The game will also feature improved graphics and game mechanics - including the ability to wield a gun and a torch at the same time, something for which fans have long called.
Price and release date are yet to be announced, but the trailer (above) has been released and ID has said the game will be released via XBLA, PSN and PC.
And clearly there is still love for Doom on the Internet - soon after the announcement 'Doom 3' was trending worldwide on Twitter.
ID's Tim Willits told The Verge: ""A number of companies have done these 'retro projects but we're trying to do something with new content.
"We have all the games. We tried to make the offering the best we can."
If you can't wait to play the game, however, there is always the flash version of the original game with which to console yourself.
