A London black cab has been turned into a mobile street party especially for the Jubilee weekend.
Colin ‘The Cabbie’ Sinclaire, is attempting to rival any of the huge celebrations taking part over the coming days, a considerable goal considering the size constraints of your average cab.
The tiny mobile street party has a brass band, bunting and a fold out table with sausage rolls, cucumber sarnies, scones and other jubilee treats.
Despite being a self-confessed royal fanatic and a street party aficionado, the current economic climate has left Colin with no choice but to work through the Jubilee weekend.
Whilst venting his frustration to his wife Andrea, Colin came up with the perfect way not to miss out on the celebrations and decided to turn his cab into a mobile street party.
Colin said: “I love celebrating a good British knees up, but I can’t afford not to work on the busiest weekend of the year. I didn’t want this to stop me from joining the fun, so I created what I’ve named ‘Britain’s smallest mobile street party.
"The brass band may have been a bit OTT but the punters seem to love it! I was so depressed about having to work over the weekend, but now I’m throwing my own party!”
The idea has inspired GetTaxi, a free taxi-ordering app, to put on a special Jubilee fleet of cabs with street party apparel, brass band music and free tasty treats over the Jubilee weekend.
