A nursery teacher has been charged with three counts of possessing indecent images of children after a camera was found in staff room toilets.
James Hoffman was also charged with one count of voyeurism and one count of making an indecent image. The 34-year-old from Purley, in Croydon, London, was employed by the Gaytime Nursery in Wallington, as a "child care practitioner".
But parents are furious after the nursery remained open despite the hidden camera being discovered the day before.
"It is shocking how this situation is being dealt with. We are being kept completely in the dark and we don't know what is going on."
Police were originally called to the nursery on 23 May and their initial enquiries led to the arrest the following day.
A statement from the Met Police read:
"Detectives are working closely with the nursery, local authority and partner agencies and their enquiries are continuing."
The police have distributed a letter to concerned parents saying they are restricted as to what information they are allowed to reveal.
Hoffman, who was in court on Friday, was remanded in custody to appear at Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court on 22 June.
