Swansea City have announced Michael Laudrup as the Premier League club's new manager today.
Swans chairman Huw Jenkins met with the Danish legend on Thursday as he honed in on a successor for Brendan Rodgers, who departed for Liverpool earlier this month.
Laudrup, 47, who has managed at Getafe, Spartak Moscow and Real Mallorca, enjoyed a glittering playing career in Italy, Spain and Holland.
He is the only player to be involved in a 5-0 win for Barcelona against Real Madrid and a 5-0 victory for Real Madrid versus Barcelona.
Jenkins has a reputation for appointing young coaches with a positive footballing philosophy.
The loss of Roberto Martinez to Wigan, Paulo Sousa to Leicester City and Rodgers to Merseyside have earned the Jacks almost £10m in compensation.
