Madness frontman Suggs has revealed he was blanked by Prince William and Will.i.am during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert after-show party.
Madness performed an impressive set of some of their biggest hits on top of Buckingham Palace during the Diamond Jubilee Concert, organised by Gary Barlow, earlier this month. However, Suggs was left red-faced when he tried to talk to the two Wills after the show.
In an interview with Absolute Radio’s Pete Donaldson at the Isle of Wight Festival, Suggs remembered: "Will.i.am was talking to William, right, and you’ve got to say that he’s irresistible. Of course, I bowl up to Will.i.am and William, they both stroll off in opposite directions, leaving me standing on my own. I looked back to see my daughters have run away."
He continued: "It was the Bow Room, which was the after-show party, and it was full of princes and princesses. Our keyboard player, Mike, had a meltdown standing between Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney and Prince William, ‘What we doing here? We shouldn’t be here!’"
