A drunken bus driver launched a frenzied attack on a female motorist in south eastern China by biting her face, according to local news reports.
The "face-chewing" began after the man, named locally as only 'Dong', ran into the road, jumped on the bonnet of the woman's car and began banging on the windscreen, the Shanghai Daily News said.
The female motorist, named locally as Du, tried to exit her car and run away from the man, the Wenzhou City News reported.
However Dong caught up with her and attacked the bottom half of her face, leaving her nose and mouth severely mutilated.

Passers-by attempted to stop the attack, but the bus driver was so "crazed" that it was impossible to pull him away, reports said. Police have now detained the man, according to The New York Daily News.
Gruesome footage of the attack, which is reported to have happened in the city of Wenzhou last Tuesday are now circulating the internet, after a witness uploaded them onto Weibo, a social networking site similar to Twitter.

The attack comes after a number of high profile 'cannibal-type' incidents.
The most notorious is the attack committed by Rudy Eugene on a Miami highway, which left homeless man Karl Poppo with horrific facial injuries. Eugene, 31 was shot during the attack and is believed to have been high on drugs at the type.
A few days later, Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old Morgan State University student, reportedly admitted to killing his roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, and then eating his heart and portions of his brain.
In Canadaformer porn star Luka Magnotta is facing trial over the alleged murder of Jun Lin. He is accused of filming himself hacking to death his lover and then eating parts of his flesh. Magnotta then allegedly then posted the body parts to Canadian politicians.
