Cheryl Cole Set For 'Glee' Role, Says Jane Lynch

Cheryl's Glee-Ful New Role

Cheryl Cole should be positively beaming at the news of a new TV role - in fact some may say GLEEful.

Yep, Chezza is set for a role in Glee, according to the show's Jane Lynch.

The star - who plays Sue Sylvester in the show - has been letting slip to the Daily Star, telling them: "There's been talk on set of Cheryl appearing for a year or so, but it's set to happen now.

"Matthew Morrison has spoken very highly of her and the younger guys on set are keen to have her on, for obvious reasons.

"Matthew's chatted to her and she seems keen."

She added: "Cheryl's the perfect Glee fit, she can sing, she can dance and she looks good. It would be cool if she played herself."

Cheryl has long had a connection to the show, as it was previously reported her hit Parachute would be featured.

Glee's Matthew Morrison

The pair starred in What To Expect When You're Expecting together, and Matthew admitted Simon Cowell made the wrong decision in axing her from The X Factor USA.

"Judging from what she did, she had to do a lot of ad libbing and had to give criticism to us as dancers and was so good at it," he told HuffPost UK.

"I'm sure he had his reasons that we don't know of, but I thought she was really good in her role as a judge."
