Grant Holt has done a U-turn and signed a new three-year contract with Norwich City.

Holt, who was the Canaries' top scorer in the 2011/12 season with 17 goals, stated his desire after the end of the campaign to leave Carrow Road.

However the 31-year-old has reneged on that pledge to commit his future to the club.

"I'm really pleased we've agreed things and that I've got a three-year deal which gives me and my family a bit of security.

"I do appreciate where the Club was coming from in terms of the process we've gone through to get to this point. Now I'm just really keen to concentrate on getting back to work with the rest of the lads and concentrating on having a good pre-season and getting ready for the start of another season in the Premier League."

Holt joined the club for £400,000 in July 2009 and has scored 70 goals in 130 appearances for the East Anglians.

City fans can celebrate his new deal with a gallery of Holt himself celebrating in yellow and green...
