Serving as a caution to any driver who hates waiting at level crossings, take a look at the CCTV footage which captures the moment a car got caught between the barriers in the path of an oncoming train.
The panicking passengers leap out of the car and scatter across the tracks after their vehicle becomes stuck between the two gates.

However the driver has second thoughts about leaving his vehicle in the path of the train, and jumping back in, smashes through the barriers to safety, leaving his muddled family to chase after him.
The driver has now been banned from driving for 18 months after the incident last August.
