Liverpool Unveil Third Kit

Liverpool FC's third kit for the 2012/13 season has been revealed.

Now kit supplied by American sportswear Warrior after six years with adidas, the kit will be worn by the Reds during their upcoming UEFA Europa League campaign and selected Premier League games.

Inspiration behind the kit’s dominant nightshade colour stems from popular past goalkeeper kits worn by David James during the 1994/95 and 1995/96 seasons, as well as Pepe Reina's attire in 2010/11.

Like the Anfield Club's new home and away versions, the third kit features a fully embroidered amber yellow Liver Bird emblem as the Club’s crest. And in recognition of the tragic events at Hillsborough in 1989 and Heysel in 1985, two commemorative Eternal Flames sit alongside a 96 logo, embroidered on the nape of the shirt’s neck.
