'The Voice' Finalist Tyler James Reveals Expected Album Release Date

'The Voice' Finalist Reveals Album Release Date

The Voice finalist Tyler James, who was mentored by Will.i.am on the BBC singing contest, has revealed his album is likely to be released in September.

James, who gained fans on the show for his soulful, unrattled performances, has been working with Will.i.am on a collection of material.

Will.i.am was Tyler James' mentor on The Voice, which will be back for a second series, despite poor reviews

Last month saw James' cover of Stevie Winwood's Higher Love go to No 25 in the iTunes chart, more popular than The Voice winner Leanne Mitchell's song which didn't make it into the Top 40.

And James isn't sad about the axing of The Voice UK tour due to poor ticket sales. Speaking to Entertainmentwise.com he said: "From my perspective, the plus side is that it's freed up my time so I can concentrate on my music because that was a two-week commitment."

Could James be the real winner of The Voice?
