A 17-year-old who lost half of his arm after being attacked by an alligator says he wants the animal’s head as an armrest.
Kaleb Langdale was swimming in the Caloosahatchee River, west of Lake Okeechobee in Florida, when the attack took place.
The animal was captured and killed and Kaleb’s arm was retrieved, but doctors at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers were unable to reattach the limb.
'I want his head': Kaleb Langdale is recovering from the loss of his arm
Kaleb told Fox News he planned vengeance on the beast, even though it had already been slain.
He said: “I want his head. I’m going to use it for a prosthetic arm rest. You can’t do this to me and get away with it.”
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Jorge Pino told AP the alligator was probably 10 or 11 feet long.
Kaleb added: “I’m glad the alligator attacked me, because if it was any of my friends, they probably would have died.”
