Thierry Henry Scores A Vicious Volley For New York Red Bulls Vs Chicago Fire (VIDEO)

WATCH: Henry Turns Back The Clock With Red Bulls Volley (VIDEO)

Thierry Henry's best days may have been six years ago now, but the former Arsenal striker reminded the football world of the "class is permanent" cliché with a classy volley for the New York Red Bulls against Chicago Fire on Wednesday.

Off the chest, in the net. The Frenchman's goal wasn't quite as simple as that, but Henry made it look so when he controlled a cross-field pass expertly before firing a Van Basten-style volley past Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson.

It was his first goal since 28 April to give the Red Bulls a 1-0 victory in New Jersey, and his celebration even included the arrogant shrug he often sported at Arsenal.
