Elton John: 'I Don't Want Zachary To Be An Only Child'

'I Want Zachary To Have A Sibling'

Sir Elton John has opened up about how his life has changed since becoming a father to son, Zachary.

And the singer has revealed that he wants more children with his partner, David Furnish because he doesn't want Zachary to be an only child.

In an interview with Daybreak from his home in the south of France, Elton talked of how much fatherhood had changed both himself and David.

"I think it changes everybody," he said. "It's the most wonderful thing that you could possibly go through.

"I regret a little bit that I didn't do it sooner, but he has changed our lives. Everything is about him now. He's gorgeous, he travels brilliantly, he so loves people, and it makes our lives - he's the icing on the cake."

And he also said that Zachary will definitely have a sibling before long, saying: "We definitely will. At what stage we don't know, but we definitely will. I don't want him to be an only child."

The Rocket Man also gave a glimpse into family life, revealing: "The first thing I do every morning is have breakfast with him. He shares my breakfast. Whatever I have, he wants. He has my boiled egg and I have his pineapple or vice versa.

"I sound like I'm the only person who has ever had a kid - everyone's been through this. But for me, it's an incredible difference to what life was before."

He also hinted Zachary might follow in his father's musical footsteps as he's already fascinated with the piano..

"He loves the piano, he sits down and plays it - he doesn't just bang it, he plays it like I play it.

"He's never seen a show, he's too young, but he comes out when the stadium is empty and sits down on the piano stool with me and he plays and looks into the microphone and thinks, 'What the hell is going on here?' But he knows what I do because somebody showed him the Jubilee on tape and he went, 'Daddy!'"
