JLS star Aston Merrygold seduced a girl by showing off condoms with his face on them.
The unusual seduction method worked on glamour girl Renay Louise, who enjoyed a brief relationship with the singing pin-up.
The pair were introduced at a nightclub last year, and after months of flirty text messages they finally decided to meet up again.
However, Renay is said to have been stunned after he attempted to woo her into bed with his own brand of condoms.
A friend told The Sun on Sunday: "There was a shelf with a few ornaments and, right in the middle, was this box of condoms with Aston's face. He'd obviously put them on the shelf because it was something he was proud of. I think Renay thought it was funny, but it's that type of character that attracted her to him. She thought he was a funny guy and said he was always great fun to be with.
"As if that wasn't enough, at the right-hand side of his bed in a mirrored wardrobe was another box with loads in! He was obviously serious about being safe. She slept with him that night and said she had a great time."
Renay confirmed the fling to the newspaper, adding: "We were seeing each other. He was a nice guy and there's no hard feelings."
Durex launched the JLS condoms in 2010, with individual boxes featuring each member.
Aston has previously said about safe sex: "It's all about staying safe. We all think so. My mum sends me down a stash of condoms and I dish them out to the lads so none of us have to worry."
