Police Seeking Man Named Obert Ngwenya After Woman Attacked In Hove, East Sussex

Police Seek Man After Woman Attacked

Police have issued a photograph of a man they want to speak to about an attack where a woman suffered serious injuries to her face.

The 25-year-old victim, from Brighton, who was working at an address in New Church Road, Hove, East Sussex, was found by neighbours and police in the street just after 1am today in a very distressed state, a spokesman for Sussex Police said.

She is receiving treatment for serious but not life-threatening facial injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, he said.

Detectives are looking to speak to 34-year-old Obert Ngwenya, also known as Obert Moyo, in connection with the incident.

Mr Ngwenya, who has been living in Brighton, but who also has links to Littlehampton, West Sussex, is black, about 5ft 7in, with cropped hair.

Detective Inspector Mark Cullimore said: "The victim and the man we are seeking are known to each other and we believe her injuries were caused between the address where she was working and the street.

"Anyone who sees him or who knows where he might be is asked to contact us immediately via 999, quoting serial 0091 of August 26.

"Please do not approach him yourself, just get in touch with us at once."
