Just two of the stranger-than-fiction episodes of true life explored in the new series of Body Invaders on the Discovery Channel, which explores some of the stranger objects that have ended up inside human bodies, often through no fault of the patient.
As well as visual reconstruction and witness testimony, the programme delights in presenting some of the X-rays that have to be seen to be believed.
It's fascinating stuff, but probably not one for before you've eaten...
